How would you go about doing this hairstyle?

Wash and blowdry thoroughly and use one of those special brushes when blowdrying to pull the hair back away from the face in order to ensure the hair folicals react when using the heat iron. Make sure you use some form of heat sealant, to help protect your hair. A fair bit of hairspray to keep the curls intact also. And just use a large sized curling iron and make sure to be mindful of the direction the curls are going, ensure you’re pulling them back away from the face for that air swept look. Otherwise if you are especially gifted with a straightener, the same look can be achieved with one of those, and you can make whatever sized curls you wish to with that.
